Melissa Jennings is a classical concert pianist. She has had many concert experiences to date and has a varied repertoire that she enjoys interpreting. Melissa discusses and develops her work with highly regarded consultants in Dublin music conservatories and also London and on occasions in Spain. From the age of twelve Melissa studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin. She was in school in Mount Anville where her took her state exams. Melissa was recommended for studies in London, at the Royal Academy of Music, and she lived in London when she finished school.

In Irish State exams she was awarded an entrance scholarship, obtaining first place in Ireland in Spanish. Instead, Melissa decided to take up an offer to study for a degree in law at Cambridge University. She continued her music studies in London.

Melissa worked in a commercial firm for ten years, and it was some years later before she progresses to being a concert performer. After the economic crisis of 2008 Melissa took up a postgraduate music performance studies at the Conservatory of Music & Drama in Dublin.

Melissa made her debut recital in National Concert Hall in Dublin in 2013. The recital included the Fantasia Baetica by Manuel de Falla and Chopin, Faure and JS Bach.

Melissa has been commended for performance and good technical fluidity, such as in the Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor.

Other successful concerts include recitals in Dublin where she lives. She played programmes including Haydn, Albeniz, Chopin, Debussy, Schumann, Brahms, Schubert, Poulenc, JS Bach, Rachmaninoff and Mozart. She has been included in various festivals in Ireland and abroad.
